Regrowable Leaves
This mod adds realistic leaf regeneration mechanics to Minecraft. When a player breaks leaves, they gradually grow back over time.
How Regeneration Works
Leaves only begin to regenerate when specific lighting conditions are met - similar to how trees grow from saplings. If a tree has been completely cut down and leaves start to decay naturally, the regeneration mechanism does not activate.
The system functions as follows: an invisible marker block is placed at the location of the broken leaf. If any other block appears in this location, the regeneration process is interrupted. Newly grown leaves always check whether they can exist (attached to a tree), otherwise they disappear according to the game's standard rules.
Settings and Compatibility
The mod supports both standard leaves from the vanilla Minecraft version and leaves from the Biome's O Plenty mod. In configuration files, you can change the leaf regeneration speed and lighting requirements.
