Reload Audio Driver (RAD) [Fabric]

This is a minimalist client-side mod that provides the ability to reload the audio driver and sound subsystem with a simple F3 + R key combination. This function also appears in the list of available actions when pressing F3 + Q.

This version of RAD is designed for Fabric. Do you need the Forge version?

Why would you need this?

When experiencing issues with headphones or accidentally selecting the wrong audio device, players typically have to completely restart the game or reload textures to make Minecraft update information about which device should receive audio. Now you only need to press F3 + R, and within a few milliseconds, the sound issue will be resolved. This feature is especially useful when playing large modpacks, where pressing F3 + T and reloading textures can take significant time due to processing thousands of textures, while only the sound system needed to be refreshed.
