Remote Chests
Basic Information
To create the system you'll need two chests, two item frames, an ender pearl, paper, and an anvil. One chest will serve as the sending container, the other as the receiving container.
Chests with ender pearl markers transfer items to containers with paper markers according to a specified communication channel. The name given to the ender pearl and paper through the anvil determines the transmission channel, allowing you to organize multiple independent item sending systems simultaneously.
Items automatically move from the sending container to the nearest receiving chest with the same communication channel. Each transfer occurs every 8 game ticks, moving one stack of items at a time.
The system prevents overflow - transfer only happens when there's free space in the receiving chest. You can create multiple sending and receiving points with identical communication channels, with items always going to the nearest available recipient chest.
The functionality works even across different dimensions! Perfectly integrates with mods like Easy Multi Item Sorter.
Important Condition
For the system to function, both sending and receiving chests must be in loaded chunks!
System Creation
- Place chests according to your planned item transfer route
- Install item frames on the top sides of both containers
- Rename the ender pearl and paper with the anvil using identical names - this will be the communication channel
- Place the ender pearl in the frame of the sending chest (item source)
- Place the paper in the frame of the receiving container (destination point)
The system is ready for operation!
