Resourceful Block Sounds
Modification Capabilities
This modification provides resource pack creators with a unique ability - customization of sound characteristics for game blocks. Now you can independently form sound groups for blocks and assign them to any objects in the game, creating a unique atmosphere in your projects.
Creating Sound Groups
To start working, you need to create a special file in JSON format. Place it along the following path: assets/minecraft/rbs/groups/name_of_your_sound_group.json. The file structure should look like this:
{
"pitch": 1,
"volume": 1,
"break": "block.wood.break",
"step": "block.wood.step",
"place": "block.wood.place",
"hit": "block.wood.hit",
"fall": "block.wood.fall"
}
Each group contains pitch and volume settings, and also defines sounds for various actions: breaking, stepping, placing, hitting, and falling.
To use the created group simply specify
minecraft:name_of_your_sound_group
where name_of_your_sound_group corresponds to the name of the created file.
Assigning Sounds to Blocks
To change the sound accompaniment of specific blocks, create a file along the path: assets/minecraft/rbs/lists/list_name.json with the following content:
{
"group": "minecraft:wood",
"blocks": [
"minecraft:dirt",
"minecraft:grass_block"
]
}
This example will make dirt and grass blocks produce sounds characteristic of wood.
