Revoted: Wildfire - Revival of the Forgotten Vote
This mod brings back the Wildfire (Mob D/The Hovering Inferno) - the creature that lost the 2017 mob vote - and completely transforms Nether Fortresses with a new threatening mechanic.
Massive Nether Fortress Update
Nether Fortresses have become significantly larger and more dangerous. The central "castle" section can now contain Blaze Spawners marked with special Caged Fire blocks. Fortresses carve out space around themselves, and their supports no longer obstruct bridges.
Throughout the fortress, new Frenzy Spawners are scattered that activate only during a special event. Regular Blaze Spawners are replaced with permanently active Frenzy Spawners that create only Blazes. Chests now appear in more locations and can contain Ominous Bottles and Fireproof Upgrade Smithing Templates.
Frenzy Event
When a player with the Bad Omen effect enters a Nether Fortress, the effect transforms into Frenzy Omen, triggering the Frenzy event. All Frenzy Spawners in the fortress activate and begin periodically spawning groups of Nether Fortress mobs.
Wildfire - Formidable Boss
Wildfires spawn from Blaze Spawners until their number matches the level of Frenzy Omen. These creatures always know your location and take no damage until all their shields are destroyed.
When a Wildfire's shield is broken, it summons reinforcements from nearby Frenzy Spawners. Wildfires can unleash barrages of fireballs and create powerful shockwaves. When killed, there's a chance to obtain a Wildfire Fragment, used in numerous recipes.
New Crafts and Abilities
From 3 Wildfire Fragments, you can create 12 Caged Fire blocks - a new decorative light source. Combining Paper and a Fragment gives the Inferno Banner Pattern, resembling the pattern on Wildfire shields.
Adding a Fragment to a Firework Star recipe creates an explosion similar to the Wildfire's helmet. In a Smithing Table, items can be made fireproof using a Fragment and Fireproof Upgrade Smithing Template.
Heart of the Inferno and Crucible
From 9 Wildfire Fragments, the Heart of the Inferno is created, used to craft the Crucible. The Crucible functions similarly to a Conduit: when fire burns beneath it and a cubic frame of Nether Fortress-related blocks is built around it, it attacks nearby enemies and grants Crucible Power to all nearby players.
Players with Crucible Power become immune to fire, can swim in lava, see better in lava, and break blocks faster in lava.
Sound Design
Some sounds are modified versions of sounds from Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons.
