RoadRunner - Performance Optimization for Forge
RoadRunner (also known as Meep Meep!) is an unofficial adaptation of the popular Lithium optimization mod by jellysquid3, specifically designed for the Forge mod loader. This project was created using the Architectury Loom toolkit and aims to significantly improve Minecraft performance on both client and server sides.
Important advantage: the mod does not require simultaneous installation on both client and server for full functionality.
Features and Capabilities
RoadRunner includes almost all features of the original Lithium with additional fixes ensuring stable operation in the Forge environment. Main optimization areas cover:
- World generation and chunk loading
- Mob AI and spawning
- Explosion processing and block updates
- Many other game systems
Additionally, developers have added their own performance improvements, making gameplay in Forge even smoother and more responsive.
Compatibility and Support
It's important to note that RoadRunner is an unofficial adaptation and is not directly supported by jellysquid3 or the CaffeineMC organization. If you encounter issues, contact the developers of this fork directly.
Usage in Modpacks
Like the original Lithium, this project is distributed as free open-source software. You can freely include it in your modpacks. Mentioning the authors in the mod list or description is appreciated but not required for usage.
