RotaryCraft is a large-scale industrial-style mod that can be compared to well-known modifications like BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft, ThermalExpansion, and Minefactory Reloaded.

What makes RotaryCraft special? It's all about the power transmission system. Engines here produce rotational power consisting of two components: torque and speed. The actual power is calculated as the product of these parameters. Energy is transmitted through shafts, gearboxes, and other transmission mechanisms before reaching the final machines.

The developer aimed for maximum realism in the mod. All energy generation and consumption indicators correspond to real technical specifications, and machine behavior follows physical laws. For example, heated devices cool down according to thermal convection principles, shafts withstand torque within their shear strength limits, and players must consider the consequences of excessive pressure or temperature.

An important advantage of RotaryCraft is that it doesn't add any new ores and doesn't change procedural world generation. This means you won't need to create a new game world or search for remote locations in your existing world.

The balancing system in RotaryCraft is fundamentally different from most other mods.
