Rubies and Regality

Rubies and Regality is a modest modification created as part of mastering the basics of Minecraft addon development.

The main innovation is the addition of ruby ore to the game, whose deposits form in the upper layers of the regular world. The mined gemstones can be forged into ruby tools. Their performance characteristics are identical to diamond ones, but their lifespan is significantly shorter. This drawback is compensated by excellent enchantability, similar to gold tools.

The gameplay also introduces the ability to forge royal armor. The recipe for its creation involves using golden armor and rubies, which must be placed in all adjacent slots of the crafting table. This set substantially surpasses the characteristics of golden armor, providing 18 points of protection, only slightly less than the 20 points of diamond counterparts. Additionally, the set has an armor toughness of 4 and retains the property of golden armor: superior compatibility with spells.
