Ruby + Sapphire - Precious Tools for Minecraft

Discover a completely new approach to top-tier tools! The Ruby + Sapphire mod offers two unique varieties of equipment that match diamond counterparts in characteristics but possess their own special features.

Ruby and sapphire tools open up the possibility for you to save precious diamonds for truly important purposes. Now you can create jukeboxes, mine obsidian, and even activate beacons without spending a single diamond!

Tool Features

Both tool sets have identical basic characteristics but differ in color and special abilities. Ruby tools are colored in rich red, while sapphire tools feature deep blue.

Ruby equipment gains additional speed boost when working in fire. The more you burn, the faster resource extraction occurs. This might even encourage you to intentionally maintain burning during work!

Sapphire tools, on the contrary, become more effective underwater. Mining speed increases proportionally to decreasing air supply, making them an ideal choice for underwater exploration.

Technical Specifications

In terms of durability and damage, these tools occupy an intermediate position between iron and diamond. They can mine the same blocks as diamond tools, but have lower durability and cannot be upgraded to netherite version.

Resource Generation

Rubies are found in hot biomes such as deserts and savannas, while sapphires are hidden in ocean depths. For those who prefer universality, there's a setting allowing these gems to be found in any biome.

Additional Functions

The mod also adds useful visual effects: when catching fire, a "Burning" indicator appears showing burning duration, and when running out of air underwater - a "Drowning" effect. Both effects can be disabled through configuration files.

The RubySapphire-common.toml configuration file allows fine-tuning the mod to your preferences, including disabling tool special abilities and adjusting the frequency of silverfish-infested stone appearance in underground areas.
