Runic Enchanting - Runic Enchanting

The Runic Enchanting mod completely transforms the enchanting system in Minecraft, offering an alternative way to create enchanted books using runes that can be found throughout the game world.

Enchantment Creation System
Each enchantment is created by combining a sequence of rune pages on a special Runic Enchanting Table. This allows players to purposefully create the enchantments they need, rather than relying on chance.

Creating Rune Pages
Rune pages are created on the Runic Scribing Table. Similar to how the regular enchanting table requires bookshelves, the Runic Scribing Table needs Rune Blocks nearby. To create a specific rune page, the corresponding rune block must be within the table's range.

Finding Runes in the World
Rune blocks generate naturally in the Overworld and Nether dimensions. You can find various rune structures on the surface, in caves, and even underwater. Each structure contains one or more rune blocks. The image shows a Life Rune carved on a chiseled stone block, found in a lush caves biome.

Copying and Creating Runes
When mined, rune blocks drop as their corresponding chiseled blocks, even with the Silk Touch enchantment. To obtain rune blocks for the Scribing Table, use Chalk on the block while holding paper in the offhand. This creates a Rune Pattern of that rune, which can be used to create additional rune blocks in the future.

Infinite Use of Patterns
Rune patterns have no durability and never break, and are not consumed in the process of creating rune blocks. Once you obtain a pattern, you can use it infinitely to create new rune blocks. To make a rune block, use a Chisel on any chiseled block (such as chiseled stone bricks) while holding the desired rune pattern in the offhand. This converts the chiseled block into a rune block.
Rune patterns can also be used on the Loom to draw patterns on banners, which can then be applied to shields.
