What This Mod Added

This addition was compact and straightforward in nature. It introduced two new types of iron blocks into the game:

Plate Iron - crafted from 4 iron blocks arranged in a square on a crafting table.

Cut Iron - produced from 4 plate iron blocks, also arranged in a square, or processed in a stonecutter.

Rusting System

Both types of iron constructions rust over time, similar to copper blocks. However, to progress to further corrosion stages, the blocks must come into contact with rain or water. Once iron has rusted, it's impossible to clean it.

To stop the oxidation process, you can coat iron blocks with wax using honeycombs. In this state, they will maintain their current rust stage regardless of water exposure. You can remove the wax coating with an axe, just like with waxed copper.

Additional Variants

All types of iron blocks and their rusted versions have complete sets of slabs and stairs for diverse building possibilities.
