Saros Log Saver

This utility mod for Forge is specifically designed for those who value precision in building – it reliably protects your wooden logs from accidental bark removal. A perfect solution for builders, landscape designers, and virtual forest managers, allowing to preserve individual logs or entire forest areas in their original state.

Protection of individual logs

The system is extremely easy to use: simply right-click with the mod's special tool on the desired log, and protection will be applied. If needed, it can be just as easily deactivated – another click on the protected log removes all protection. Once protection is activated, it's impossible to process the log with an axe for bark removal.

Bulk territory protection

For mass processing, hold Shift and click on the first log to start selecting the area. Move to the second point and make a regular right-click – all logs within the marked zone will receive protection.

Removing bulk protection

The process of removing group protection is similar: while holding Shift, select the starting point, then move to the second point and use the Shift+RMB combination to remove protection from all logs in the selected area.

Visual indicators

The mod provides a convenient color indicator system:

• Green outline: shows protected logs
• Yellow marker: indicates the first point during mass selection
• Blue highlighting: demonstrates preliminary result before applying group actions

These outlines are visible only when using the special tool, so they don't interfere with normal gameplay.

After selecting the first point during mass processing, the system immediately shows which specific logs will be affected by your command.
