Containment Procedures

SCP-173 must be kept in a locked chamber at all times. When personnel need to enter the object's containment unit, a minimum of three individuals must participate. The door is immediately resealed after entry. Two staff members must maintain uninterrupted visual contact with the object until the entire team has exited the containment unit and it has been securely locked again.

Characteristics Description

Having been relocated to Site-19 in 1993, this anomalous entity remains enigmatic regarding its origins. Its physical form consists of a composite of concrete and reinforcement bars with residual traces of Krylon brand spray paint.

SCP-173 exhibits animation properties and displays extreme hostility. A key characteristic is complete immobility during direct visual observation. Breaking line of sight is impermissible under any circumstances. Personnel sharing space with the entity are required to alert colleagues before blinking.

The primary attack method involves breaking cervical vertebrae at the base of the skull or strangulation. In case of an attack threat, staff must implement standard operational procedures for Class 4 hazardous entities.
