SCP-650, The Startling Statue

This modification adds a new dangerous monster to Minecraft based on the SCP universe. We're talking about SCP-650, also known as "The Startling Statue" - a mysterious black humanoid sculpture.

Behavior Features

At first glance, the statue seems completely harmless and motionless when being observed. However, as soon as a player looks away, SCP-650 instantly teleports behind its target. This behavior resembles the famous SCP-173, creating constant tension and a sense of danger.

Even the blindness effect doesn't prevent the statue from moving freely, making it almost elusive. Sometimes the sculpture changes its poses, enhancing psychological discomfort and creating an even more eerie atmosphere.

Technical Details

The mod uses modern animation technologies through Geckolib, ensuring smooth and realistic monster movements. The creature spawns in the regular world (Overworld) and follows unique spawning conditions - only one instance of SCP-650 can exist simultaneously.

Important Nuances

The statues are perfectly compatible with other SCP modifications, including SCP-131. The gaze detection system works at distances up to 60 blocks - at greater distances, the tracking mechanism may malfunction.

A pickaxe is required to destroy the monster, as regular weapons prove insufficiently effective against the stone creature.
