Scuba Gear
🎯 About the Modification
Scuba Gear is a compact addition that introduces specialized underwater diving equipment into the game. This mod significantly simplifies underwater exploration, making it more comfortable and efficient.
🤿 How to Obtain the Gear
The equipment can be found on drowned that spawn within 15 blocks of ocean ruins. The chance of different items appearing varies: helmet (50%), boots (40%), leggings (30%), and chestplate (20%). Interestingly, if a drowned spawns with a rarer piece of equipment, it will automatically have all the more common pieces as well. For example, having leggings guarantees the presence of boots and helmet.
🐠 Features and Functionality
Each piece of equipment has unique abilities. However, when worn on land, the player receives a slight speed reduction for each equipped item, with the chestplate and helmet having the most noticeable impact. During underwater use, the armor loses durability every 4 seconds, so it's important to monitor its condition! (This only applies to the player, other creatures are not affected by this effect).
Helmet
The helmet provides the wearer with the ability to breathe underwater.
Chestplate
The chestplate allows mining resources underwater at almost normal speed. However, when the mining fatigue effect is active, this ability does not work.
Leggings
The leggings provide a slight increase in swimming speed without affecting walking speed.
Boots
The boots speed up movement along the bottom underwater but do not change swimming speed.
Full Set
When wearing the full set, the player gains fire resistance. However, instead of the player taking damage, the armor takes the damage - approximately twice per second. Use this ability with caution!
Characteristics
Each armor piece is identical to iron armor in terms of durability and protection, so you don't sacrifice defense for special abilities. The equipment also has the same enchantability as iron armor.
Repair
The obtained armor is usually heavily damaged. You can repair it in the traditional way using a crafting table or anvil with iron. The Mending enchantment also works with this equipment.
