Stop Doxxing My Ip Minecraft
A simple server-side modification that implements a special mixin to hide players' IP addresses when connecting to the server. Your real address will no longer appear in server logs, providing an additional layer of privacy.
Why is this needed?
In today's world, where personal data can become publicly available through server logs, there's a risk of their misuse. This mod serves as a protective measure against potential doxxing by hiding players' IP addresses from server administrators.
Alternative solutions
Starting from Minecraft version 1.20.2, the game includes a log-ips setting in the server.properties file that allows disabling IP address logging. However, many administrators might forget to activate this option manually. Our mod offers a more convenient and automatic solution.
While using a VPN can also solve privacy issues, it often leads to degraded connection quality and increased latency. Dynamic IP addresses don't guarantee complete protection either, since temporary access to your address can still be used by malicious actors.
Compatibility
The mod is fully compatible with most popular server-side modifications. If you encounter compatibility issues, please report them for prompt resolution.
