Seba's Tameable Spiders Mod (STS Mod)
This mod introduces players to three unique spider species native to Latin America, specifically Chile. Each of them has distinct behavioral patterns and characteristics.
Spider Types
Corner Spider - An extremely dangerous creature combining high movement speed with lethal venom. This aggressive beast attacks the player at the first opportunity. Interestingly, it harbors animosity towards the other two spider species from the mod, so for dealing with it, using a bow or setting another spider against it is recommended.
Tiger Spider - Visually resembles regular Minecraft spiders (attacks only at night or when hit), but possesses a unique ability: when the player approaches, it spits sticky webs, slowing the victim to Slowness II level for several seconds.
Chick Spider - A peaceful creature that never attacks first. You can ride it even without taming, but it won't follow you. To domesticate it, you need to feed it bones until hearts appear. Although in version 1.12.2 (the only version supported by the mod) these spiders cannot climb walls, they compensate for this with incredible speed and owner protection - they attack any entities that attack you or that you attack, similar to wolves.
Known Issues
- Tamed chick spiders only follow the player after being hit
- When right-clicking+Shift simultaneously on a chick spider, the character becomes immobilized, and to restore mobility, you need to re-enter the world
