Secrets of the Void

This addon expands the Abyssal Chasm biome from Alex's Caves with completely new elements and functionality, making underwater exploration even more exciting and rich. The developers plan numerous future updates that will make the world even more diverse.

What Awaits You in the Depths?

Diving into the darkest corners of ocean trenches, you'll discover two fundamentally new materials. Shimmersteel is obtained by smelting pearls, while Scoria comes from ore found only in the deepest parts of the chasm.

Specifically for extended underwater expeditions, three tiers of diving gear have been developed with unique mechanics, high-quality textures and detailed models. Available options include sets made from Shimmersteel, Netherite and Scoria, with a fourth tier - Abyssalith - planned for future addition.

The explorer's arsenal has been supplemented with two complete sets of tools and armor from the new materials. Shimmersteel occupies an intermediate position between iron and diamond, becoming an excellent alternative to the latter, while Scoria surpasses even netherite in characteristics.

Scattered across the seabed, structures called Oxygen Vents are small but frequently occurring formations with a new block. They emit air bubbles and restore regular oxygen. By installing a special Pressure Drain on the vent, you can refill air supplies in backtanks while remaining at significant depths. An interesting feature: these structures push any creatures except the player to the surface!

The mod also includes: achievements for defeating hullbreakers and other challenges, two music discs with unique compositions, expanded loot tables for trading with the Deep Ones. Dive boldly, but remember: in the darkness of the abyss, there might always be something larger lurking...
