Shifty Items

This is a Fabric mod that runs exclusively on the client side. Its primary function is to enable interaction with blocks while holding specific items in a crouched state.

By default, the mod allows using shears (minecraft:shears) while sneaking to carve pumpkins, maintaining the crouching position. You can test this by holding shears and pressing Shift near a pumpkin - the action will complete successfully while you remain in crouching position.

It's important to note that the mod is compatible with vanilla servers. Beyond the built-in support for shears, you can add other items through the configuration file located at config/shiftyitems.json5. Complete details on configuration options are available in the GitHub README.
