This mod offers an easy and customizable solution for adding emojis to the in-game chat that works exclusively on the client side.

Built-in Emoji Collection

Comes with a ready-made selection of fun Discord-style emojis that can be activated as desired.

Creating Custom Emojis

You can easily add your own images as emojis through resource packs. To do this, place files in the folder assets/(your namespace)/textures/simple-chat-emojis.
For example: the file trollswagcat.png will be displayed as :trollswagcat:

Compatibility with Other Players

If you're chatting with a player who doesn't have this mod installed, all emojis will appear as regular text to them.

Known Features

• Minor transparency issues with emojis when chat is fading
• Emojis are not taken into account when calculating text size, so long messages may partially overlap some emojis
