Welcome to the World of Hollow Logs!

Simple Hollow Logs is a universal Fabric mod that works on both client and server sides, bringing to life the hollow logs concept showcased during the Minecraft Live 2021 birch forest presentation!

These unique natural elements can be found in various forest biomes of the overworld. To craft them, you'll need to gather 8 regular logs of the corresponding type. The main feature is the special collision that allows players to crawl inside these logs!

Unlike standard logs, the hollow versions can be filled with water. When filled, the liquid is retained by the four solid sides but flows freely through the openings.

Hollow logs can also be processed with an axe to obtain stripped versions.

Getting Started

For proper mod operation, installation of Fabric API is required since specialized registration functions are used. After downloading both mods, simply place them in the mods folder. For multiplayer gaming, the mods need to be installed on both the server and client sides.

Compatibility

The mod includes hollow versions of all standard log types from vanilla game, some of which generate naturally in the world. Support for logs and biomes from other modifications is not currently planned but may be considered in the future.
