Simple Weather

In Minecraft, weather effects often create wonderful atmosphere, but sometimes they can seriously obstruct visibility. The Simple Weather mod solves this problem by replacing the standard rain and snow system with a more modern particle-based system similar to that used in Bedrock Edition.

Unlike the flat visual representation in the Java version of Minecraft, this mod uses particles to create more realistic and less intrusive weather effects. While this isn't necessarily better than the original system, many players on Forgecraft have already appreciated its advantages!

For streamers and content creators: This mod was created specifically for you! If you stream on Twitch, you've probably noticed how snowfall pushes the video encoder to its limits. Simple Weather significantly reduces the load since the screen is no longer filled with continuous visual noise.

This functionality was originally part of the XyCraft Override mod, but proved so useful that it was separated into a standalone project.

The configuration file offers various settings to personalize the appearance of weather effects according to your preferences.
