SimpleOres2 - Expanding Minecraft World with New Ores

The SimpleOres2 mod for Forge enriches the standard game with five new types of mineral resources. In the Overworld, you can discover copper (prior to version 1.17), tin, mithril, and adamantium, while onyx is exclusively mined in the Nether.

Each ore possesses individual characteristics and allows creating unique sets of tools and armor with special properties.

Ore Generation Features

Starting with the version for Minecraft 1.19, ore distribution in the world is managed through datapacks instead of configuration files. For generation customization, a sample datapack "simpleores_oregen.zip" is available in the SimpleOres Resources project. After downloading, it can be adapted to your needs and placed in the world save's datapack folder.

Compatibility with Vanilla Game

In versions for Minecraft 1.17.1 and newer, the mod does not add copper ore and ingots since they are already present in the standard game. However, copper tools and armor, as well as the copper bucket (which still can only carry water) remain exclusive elements of SimpleOres2. All ores except onyx now drop raw metal, as in the vanilla game.

Content Updates

Starting from version 1.17.1-3.0.1.1, content from the Aesthetics mod related to SimpleOres has been integrated into the main mod. This includes copper bars and doors, as well as bars, doors, bricks, and stairs made of mithril, tin, adamantium, and onyx. Metal brick slabs have also been added to complete the collection of building blocks.

Compatible Mods

Only the core SimpleOres mods and akkamaddi's Arsenic and Lace have been ported to MinecraftForge 1.17.1. The remaining mods will be ported directly to version 1.18.1.

Integration with Technological Mods

In Silent's Mechanisms (starting from version 1.16.3), mithril and adamantium ores can be processed in the crusher with subsequent smelting of the resulting dust and fragments into ingots. Onyx is too brittle for such processing - it may shatter.

In Silent Gear (starting from SimpleOres 1.16.4-2.4.3.0), support for materials made of mithril, adamantium, and onyx for tool creation has been added.

• SimpleOres Resources - contains original textures for Fusion and SimpleOres, as well as a complete package of revised textures by Thombias
