Skeletons Improve Over Time
This datapack transforms skeletons into true bosses that become stronger with each in-game day played. Difficulty is calculated individually for each player - your skeletons will evolve independently of other server participants.
Gradual Enemy Enhancement
Every 20 minutes of game time, skeletons receive minor improvements that gradually turn ordinary archers into formidable opponents. The following characteristics change:
- Health - become more resilient
- Follow range - detect players from greater distances
- Movement speed - approach targets faster
- Armor toughness - harder to deal damage
- Bows - gain Power, Punch, and Flame enchantments
- Armor - improved protection with magical properties
- Shields - acquire additional equipment
Special feature: after 20 in-game days, skeletons gain tactical flexibility - they switch to iron swords in close combat and return to bow shooting when distance increases.
Difficulty System
The difficulty timer works personally for each player and increases every 20 minutes of game time. Important: sleeping does not accelerate this process! Maximum difficulty is reached after 100+ in-game days and does not increase further.
Testing Commands
To assess the power of enhanced skeletons, use functions:
skel:day25- 25-day difficultyskel:day50- 50-day difficultyskel:day75- 75-day difficultyskel:day100- maximum difficulty
Alternatively: /scoreboard players set <player> Skeldif <number>
Progress reset: skel:reset - for yourself, skel:resetall - for all players
Installation and Removal
Standard installation: place the ZIP file in your world's datapacks folder.
For removal, execute the skel:uninstall function and remove the datapack from the folder.
