Will SkyGuide get my account banned on Hypixel?

No, in its current state the mod should not lead to account banning. However, as with any modifications, use is at your own risk!

Does the mini-map violate Hypixel's rules?

Due to Hypixel's vague rules regarding client modifications, it's difficult to say for certain, and using this mod remains at your own risk, but I don't believe the mini-map violates the rules. Here's my reasoning:

The mini-maps that Hypixel considers prohibited take data directly from the world and display it on your HUD, while SkyGuide's mini-map uses pre-rendered images. This is important because Hypixel states in their rules:

a general rule is that any modification that provides any significant advantage to players in any of our games - even if not in the specific game you're playing - using them anywhere on our server will be against our rules.

Thus, a regular mini-map doesn't provide an unfair advantage in SkyBlock, but it does in some PvP games, especially if it has an entity radar. SkyGuide's mini-map uses pre-rendered images and therefore doesn't work in any other games besides SkyBlock. So SkyGuide's mini-map cannot provide an unfair advantage anywhere on the Hypixel network.
