Smoke Suppression
Client mod to eliminate campfire smoke when specific blocks are placed beneath them
This client-side mod completely removes smoke particles from both regular and soul campfires when certain blocks are located underneath them. It functions in single-player mode and on the client side in multiplayer.
The primary purpose of the mod is to reduce client-side lag and eliminate annoying smoke when using large numbers of campfires in farms and other automated systems.
Configuration
The mod supports integration with Cloth Config and Mod Menu for convenient configuration, but they are not required. If Cloth Config is absent, default values will be used.
With Cloth Config present, settings can be adjusted through Mod Menu or by editing the config/smoke_suppression.json file in your game instance folder.
- Suppressing blocks list (default):
minecraft:hopper,minecraft:rail,minecraft:activator_rail,minecraft:powered_rail,minecraft:detector_rail
Blocks from this list prevent smoke from appearing on campfires placed above them. To apply configuration changes, existing campfires must be replaced or reloaded. - Invert list behavior (default:
false)
When enabled, blocks from the list will allow smoke, while all other blocks will suppress it. To apply changes, existing campfires must be replaced or reloaded. - Always suppress smoke (default:
false)
Completely disables smoke particles regardless of which block is beneath the campfire. To apply changes, existing campfires must be replaced or reloaded.

This mod is designed only for Fabric (also works on Quilt) and will not be ported to Forge. The MIT license allows other developers to create ports and modifications.
