SmoothWater is a simple mod that significantly improves the visual rendering of water in Minecraft. It makes the water surface smooth and fluid, and also ensures proper smooth lighting works under liquids.

This is purely a visual enhancement that adds no additional functions. The mod is completely safe to add to modpacks by default.

Frequently Asked Questions:

• Question: Didn't Forge 2623+ fix this issue?
• Answer: It fixed the second problem (incorrect smooth lighting underwater), but not the first one (smooth lighting not affecting the water surface). Minecraft versions 1.10.x and 1.11.x still suffer from both problems.
