Breathe Underwater with New Equipment

The Snorkel mod introduces unique underwater gear that fundamentally changes the approach to exploring aquatic depths in Minecraft. With a special breathing tube, you can stay underwater significantly longer than usual.

How the Breathing System Works

The basic operating principle is quite simple: if there's at least one air block above your head, you can breathe freely underwater. This opens up interesting possibilities for underwater construction and exploration.

When standing in water, the permissible immersion depth is two water blocks, since your head is still one block below the air level. However, when swimming, the situation changes - to get air, you need to be in the very top layer of water.

Breathing Process Features

It's important to note that air supply recovery occurs gradually, not instantly. The rate of oxygen replenishment corresponds to normal recovery on the surface without using the tube, which adds realism to the gameplay.
