About the Mod

Snowy Spirit is a winter-themed mod that adds numerous decorative blocks and interesting mechanics. The mod is fully customizable - you can disable any elements or adjust their parameters according to your preferences.

Main Features

Sleds

Sleds offer a new way to travel across snowy landscapes. Unlike boats, they smoothly navigate terrain irregularities, easily climbing slopes and descending them. When moving downhill, sleds accelerate, allowing you to create real skiing tracks.

On ice, sleds have enhanced maneuverability. Although they slide on snow, you maintain full control over direction. To come to a complete stop, simply turn the sled 90 degrees - just like in real life!

You can place a chest on sleds to transport items. Shulker boxes and sacks from the Supplementaries mod are also supported.

Attach a tamed wolf to the sled using a lead - this will increase their speed, maneuverability, and ability to climb hills without losing momentum.

Igloos now sometimes spawn with sleds containing chests that hold winter treasures.

For additional customization, place a carpet on the sled - this will also protect you from freezing when sledding on powder snow.

Villager Behavior

During winter periods, village residents decorate their house doors with wreaths. Each villager can hang only one wreath, and they'll remove them themselves in spring. Decoration happens during rest time, around midnight.

If you have the Supplementaries mod installed, villagers will also place gift blocks containing useful items. Each villager can place only one gift, doing so during meeting times (after 9000) near gathering spots.

Child villagers from taiga and tundra biomes throw snowballs at anyone they see during playtime.

The "Winter Period" is configurable in the mod settings. By default, it lasts from December 20th to January 30th.

With the Serene Seasons mod installed, you can configure it to follow those seasons instead.

Winter Blocks

Ginger: A new crop that can be crafted into gingerbread blocks for decoration. Wild ginger can be found in sparse jungle biomes.

Gumdrops: Colorful candies that can be pushed. They function like buttons and pressure plates simultaneously, responding to movement from all directions.

Candy Canes: Sweet items that can be crafted into decorative blocks.

Wreaths: Decorate doors to create festive atmosphere. Compatible with all modded doors.

Glow Lights: Items that can be placed on any foliage to make it glow in the dark. Can be removed with shears or by breaking.

Snow Globe: A block that becomes snowy when placed in locations where snowfall is possible.

New Music Disc: A winter-themed composition that can rarely be found in gifts and igloo sled chests.
