Solar Village

What is it?

Solar Village is a standard solar panel mod designed to work with the TESLA power API. The main purpose of this addition is to provide a basic solar panel whose parameters can be configured by both individual players and modpack creators to meet specific needs. Additionally, this mod can be used as a tool to verify the correct operation of TESLA energy support in other modifications.

How it works

The solar panel begins generating energy during daytime hours when it has direct contact with the sky. Every game second (20 times per second), the panel generates a small amount of energy that accumulates in an internal buffer. The accumulated energy can be transmitted through wires and used by other mechanisms. It's important to note that connection to the panel is only possible through its bottom face. All main system parameters are configurable: generation power, internal buffer capacity, and energy extraction rate from the storage.

Origin of the name

The mod's name is related to a humorous reference to real companies. The TESLA API got its name after the famous inventor Nikola Tesla, but some users drew parallels with Elon Musk's automotive company Tesla Motors. Solar City is another company owned by Musk, so the name Solar Village continues this playful tradition.
