Sonic Devices
The Sonic Devices mod introduces players to the famous screwdriver from the "Doctor Who" series, offering numerous models and functional capabilities of this unique tool.
Core Features
Basic versions of the sonic screwdriver are available in green and blue colors and feature three operation modes:
- Block activation - turning on mechanisms and devices
- Block deactivation - turning off active systems
- Wrench mode - rotating and configuring various blocks
Advanced Functions
The red upgraded sonic screwdriver unlocks additional capabilities, including scanning mode and the ability to activate blocks through walls. Scanning mode allows you to identify:
- Type of observed entity
- Entity's health level
- Active potion effects
- Ability to make blocks invisible to find hidden passages
Controls
To use the screwdriver, right-click on the target. To change modes, click in the air or hold Shift before clicking. Blocks with their own right-click functions are activated by holding Shift.
Tool Application
Wrench mode rotates various blocks - from dispensers and repeaters to stairs and logs. Hold Alt to change rotation direction. Blocks that can be oriented in different directions rotate around the selected face or perform a 180-degree turn when clicking on the front side. Thanks to integration with the Wrenchable API, it's also possible to rotate signs and banners while holding Shift and flip slabs.
Additional Devices
The mod includes a Sonic Blaster capable of creating temporary 3x3 passages in walls. The opening automatically closes after a few seconds or upon any interaction with it.
