Soul Forging: Minecraft Modification
This mod introduces a simplified version of the soul forging system from Brandon Sanderson's renowned fantasy work "The Emperor's Soul". Currently, the project is in its early development stage.
Introduction to Stamps
The mod features several types of magical stamps that affect items and the player themselves:
- 4 tool stamps - alter the properties of weapons or tools in the offhand
- 6 effect stamps - grant the character various abilities and enhancements
- Bloodsealer stamp - used for health restoration
The Stamp Creation Process
To craft the desired stamp, you need to perform several sequential actions:
Resource Gathering First, you need to find special soul stone underground. Mining it requires at least an iron pickaxe.
Basic Preparation Create a rough version of your desired stamp from the obtained stone using a crafting table.
Tempering Tool Stamps If you're creating a tool stamp, it requires extensive furnace heating for a considerable duration.
Crafting Essence Marks For effect stamps, simple heating isn't enough. Additional processing in a smithing table is required - combining the blank with an inscribing plate and a special soul forger's chisel that serves as the pattern.
Usage Features
Each essence mark activates only when you have a specific amount of experience - from 2 to 5 levels. The bloodsealer stamp's particularity is that it demands more experience depending on the extent of damage: one additional required level for every 5 missing hearts.
