Spice of Fabric - Benchmark Integration
Spice of Fabric - Benchmark Integration
This is a special version of the Spice of Fabric mod created to fix bugs that occur when used with the Benchmark modpack. This modification represents an adaptation of the popular Spice of Life for the Fabric platform.
Main Concept
Since Minecraft version 1.13, new possibilities for automating food production have appeared, but this has led to some balance issues:
- It's too easy to constantly eat only industrially produced dried kelp
- Golden carrots have become an overly powerful food source
The solution to this problem is already well-known in the community: as you eat the same food repeatedly, its nutritional value gradually decreases, forcing the player to diversify their diet.
By default, the system considers the last 20 meals when calculating nutritional value, with the decrease happening quite rapidly. All mathematical formulas are fully configurable through the configuration file or using the ModMenu interface.
"Carrot" Mode
The mod also includes an alternative mode called "Carrot," inspired by Spice Of Life: Carrot Edition. In this mode, the player starts with a reduced number of hearts but gradually unlocks additional hearts by consuming a variety of foods. All parameters of this mode are also fully customizable.
Technical Dependencies
The mod uses Tweed API and distributes the hjson-java library under the MIT license, as well as exp4j under the Apache 2.0 license.
