Spoiled Eggs [Forge] - Spoiled Eggs and Zombie Chickens

The Spoiled Eggs mod is a compact addition in the spirit of vanilla Minecraft that introduces spoiled eggs and zombie chickens to the game.

Spoiled Eggs

These eggs cannot be used in crafting recipes. Instead, when thrown, they inflict poison damage and can hatch into zombie chickens. Spoiled eggs can be obtained by leaving regular eggs on the ground until they expire, or rarely found in villages and shipwrecks. When a zombie chicken grows into an adult, it also periodically lays spoiled eggs.

Zombie Chickens

Zombie chickens look cute, but in large numbers they can be deadly. They are hostile to players, as well as foxes and ocelots (this is revenge!). Other animals perceive them as regular chickens, but they are classified as undead.

Installation and Compatibility

The mod must be installed on both the client and server for proper functionality.

Configuration

In the configuration, you can enable the natural spawning of zombie chickens from spoiled eggs when they rot. This setting allows you to encounter zombie chickens in the world, but also makes their appearance in chicken farms likely, so consider this factor. Additionally, you can allow zombie jockeys to spawn on zombie chickens and configure whether they burn in sunlight.

Use of this mod in modpacks is permitted.
