Become a Disgusting Flesh Monster
This addon allows players to become part of the parasitic threat, offering completely new gameplay in the world of Scape and Run: Parasites. Named after a species of parasitoid wasp, the mod provides a deep system of transformation into a parasite with unique mechanics.
Key Features
Transformation into a Parasite: Become part of the hive, gaining the ability to hide and unhide, but losing the chestplate slot in normal form. Hiding protects from hostile mobs targeting parasites but makes you vulnerable to creatures attacking players.
Biomass System: Replace the kill count system with biomass management for creating parasites. Factories allow producing parasites and transforming them into other creatures, building your own army.
Damage Adaptation: Starting from Primitive Tier (2), parasites can adapt to damage sources. The quality and number of adaptations increase with Corpse Bloom level.
Orb Abilities: From Adapted Tier (3), you can release orbs that apply effects to parasites and enemies alike. Player parasite orbs can also diffuse beneficial effects to allies.
Combat Capabilities
Leaping: From Assimilated Tier (1), you can perform powerful leaps in the direction you're facing, overcoming obstacles and speeding up swimming.
Fall Damage Reduction: Starting from Primitive Tier (2), reduces damage from falls and collisions, including elytra usage.
Guandao: Modular weapon for parasites with long reach and weak area attack. Strengthens nearby allies by reducing damage taken and increasing damage dealt.
New Threats and Mechanics
Enhanced Mobs: Over time, regular mobs become stronger and gain special anti-parasite abilities. The "Ante" system determines the level of this threat.
Wells and Creeping Salt: New dangers threatening parasite existence. Wells consume evolution points, while Creeping Salt infects parasitic blocks.
Reworked Infection System: Mobs must be weakened to a specific health threshold before transformation, with a reward system for successful infection.
Compatibility and Requirements
The mod requires Mixinbooter, GeckoLib, and base Scape and Run: Parasites version 1.9.21. Patchouli installation is recommended for accessing the mod mechanics guide.
Incompatible Mods: BetterPortals, VanillaFix, Phosphor (Forge version), Thicc Entities, Better Foliage, and in some cases Surge.
