Starting Notes
Starting Notes is a simple mod for server owners and modpack creators that automatically adds custom written books to players' inventories when they first spawn in the world.
How to use the mod
To configure the mod, follow these steps:

Create a text file in the config/StartingNotes/ folder containing your book content. The first line specifies the author, the second line is the title, and all subsequent lines represent book pages. Minecraft color formatting using the § symbol is supported.

Add or modify the books.txt file in the same folder, specifying the full filenames of your books (for example, myBook.txt).

Every time a player spawns in the world, they will receive all specified books. You can also re-grant books by removing the sn_spawned scoreboard tag from the player — then upon their next death, they will receive the books again.
