Stellarity

Stellarity is a comprehensive datapack that completely transforms The End in Minecraft, adding entirely new terrain shapes, biomes, items, weapons, and unique gameplay mechanics.

Unlike standard approaches that often follow "Minecraft: Dungeons" style or create alien atmospheres, Stellarity combines the classic desolation of the dimension with elements of powerful magic and fantasy.

A total of 23 new biomes have been added, including 4 reworked vanilla End biomes (though technically only two of them matter in the original game).

Stellarity biomes can be divided into 4 categories:

  • Fields - open spaces covered with grass
  • Barrens - hilly and lifeless territories with limited block variety
  • Forests - classic forest areas
  • Frozen - snowy variants of existing biomes with white color palette

Islands are no longer limited to one height level, creating enormous diversity in terrain shapes.

Items and Equipment

Items

After defeating the Ender Dragon, the Altar of The Accursed awakens - a powerful crafting station for creating endgame gear. The altar has no interface and is activated by throwing required ingredients onto its surface.

Stellarity adds over 40 new items, including potion variants, food, weapons, and 4 new armor sets with unique effects and set bonuses. Balance is tuned for both vanilla gameplay and modpacks with numerous bosses.

Gameplay Mechanics

Cauldron Crafting

Stellarity offers many unique mechanics for The End:

Cauldron Crafting - throw a bottle of dragon's breath into a water cauldron to dilute it and gain the ability to create items by throwing them into the cauldron. Over a dozen recipes are available, mainly related to new food and combined potions.

Void Fishing - cast your fishing rod into the air beneath you in The End (but not directly into the void) and wait for something to bite! Almost every biome has its own loot table with various items, including new fish types.

Additional Mechanics:

  • Elytras leave trails while flying that can be dyed with 16 vanilla dyes
  • Tridents with loyalty return to the player when falling into the void
  • Totems of Undying save from falling into the void by teleporting the player 200 blocks upward
  • Lingering potions are significantly enhanced
  • End Crystals can be destroyed with left click to obtain the item
  • Items thrown into water in The Hallow biome slowly transform into other items
  • Eyes of Ender thrown in The End point to the nearest gateway

Mobs

Endermen in the Overworld now drop chorus fruit instead of ender pearls.

New mobs appear in The End that can spawn in "voided" variants - stronger versions of regular enemies.

Dragon Fight

The Ender Dragon fight has been completely reworked to feel like a proper boss fight. The dragon has more health and armor, crystals make it invulnerable but don't heal it. New attacks have been added to increase difficulty. At 1 HP, the dragon lands on the exit portal, waiting for the final blow.

Empress of Light

For adventure seekers, in The Hallow biome you can find the Chapel of Light and summon the Empress of Light...

Structures

Strongholds

Strongholds have been completely redesigned. The walls of these forts are inhabited by illagers guarding the End portals.

Stronghold Sizes

They have become 5 times larger and contain huge numbers of illagers who can drop new items useful in the fight against the Ender Dragon.

End Cities

End Cities have been reworked from scratch to increase difficulty and strengthen their endgame structure status. Inspired by trial chambers, they are filled with spawners creating enhanced versions of Overworld mobs. Almost every tower contains a protective End Crystal preventing block placement and destruction.

Additional Structures

Both large functional structures and small decorative ones are scattered throughout The End, adding life, lore, and personality to the dimension. Yes, there are now villages in The End with unique trading offers.

Important Information

  • 🎨 Optional resource pack available with custom textures for new items
  • ❗ Adding to an existing world requires resetting The End (or creating a new world)
  • ⚙️ Per-world configuration available via /function stellarity:_cmd/configuration
  • ❌ Stellarity items don't appear in creative mode - use commands to obtain them
  • 🌐 Stellarity works completely server-side, allowing vanilla clients to connect
  • 🎵 Music pack available separately

Server Installation

Ensure enable-command-blocks in server.properties is set to true.

If problems occur with Altar of The Accursed loading, use /function stellarity:cmd/generate_end_island_features.

Mod Compatibility

Fully Incompatible:

  • BetterEnd
  • YUNG's Better End Island
  • Mods/datapacks that unlock all recipes upon world entry

Partially Compatible:

  • Quark (disable recipe unlocking)
  • Enlightend/End's Phantasm (requires manual file editing)
  • JEI (items don't display)
