akkamaddi's Sterling and Black
This modification represents an updated version of the Sterling and Black module from the akkamaddi's Additions expansion, adapted for Minecraft versions 1.14.4 and later. Originally, this content was created for version 1.7.10 as an addition to Simple Ores, but after the author discontinued support, the project was taken over by another developer.
This addon for SimpleOres Fusion introduces players to two unique silver-based alloys - Sterling Steel and Black Silver, which open up new possibilities for creating equipment and tools.
Sterling Steel
A durable alloy that maintains silver's high enchantability. Visually resembles iron equipment but with a slight bluish tint. This material can be used to create a complete set of tools and armor. Sterling Steel is significantly stronger than regular silver, features increased durability, and only slightly loses in enchantability.
Black Silver
An exceptionally strong alloy that surpasses the characteristics of onyx, from which it is partially created, and possesses improved enchantability. Like sterling steel, it allows for creating a complete set of tools and protective equipment.
Magical Properties
Silver alloys retain the natural magical properties of this metal. Sterling steel armor has built-in enchantments: simultaneously wearing the helmet, chestplate, and leggings provides the Speed I effect, increasing movement speed, while the combination of chestplate, leggings, and boots grants the Jump Boost I ability, allowing you to jump over wooden and stone fences.
A full set of black silver armor provides the temporary Haste I enchantment, speeding up resource mining.
For Minecraft versions 1.16.3 and newer, SimpleCoreLib and Fusion are required, while SimpleOres is recommended as a source of onyx for creating black silver. In versions 1.14.4-1.15.2, SimpleOres and Fusion are necessary.
The modification is fully compatible with JEI, including fusion furnace recipes, and contains functionality from the previously separate Recycle Your Silver module, adding recycling recipes for silver items.
