Stupendous Travels

Stupendous Travels is a modification that changes the player's movement speed on various blocks. Unlike the similar Happy Trails mod, which uses potion effects to alter speed, this modification works by directly changing the character's movement velocity.

Main Features

Blocks That Slow Movement

By default, speed is reduced when walking on:

• Sand
• Red Sand
• Netherrack
• Snow
• Concrete Powder

Blocks That Speed Up Movement

Movement acceleration occurs on:

• Grass Paths
• Netherrack Paths
• Red Sand Paths
• Sand Paths
• Snow Paths
• Soul Soil Paths
• Stone Brick Slabs
• Brick Slabs
• Concrete

Boots Effect

Wearing any type of boots reduces the speed modification effect. For example, the speed boost from brick slabs decreases from 1.3 to 1.2, and the slowdown from sand completely disappears (0.9 to 1.0).

Customization via Datapacks

The block lists can be modified using datapacks and tags. It's recommended to check out a datapack creation tutorial for this purpose.

Natural Path Formation

Walking on paths has a chance to gradually wear them down.
