What This Data Pack Offers

This data pack introduces the ability to create super sponges that can instantly dry out large water areas around them. Imagine a tool that can drain an entire underwater lake or remove water from an ocean section within seconds.

Creating the Super Sponge

By default, to create this powerful item, simply throw six regular sponges and three nether stars onto the ground at the same time. The system will automatically recognize the components and create the magical sponge. Recipe settings can be easily adjusted to suit specific server needs.

Installation

The installation process is extremely simple: download the zip archive and place it in your world's world/datapacks folder. If the game is already running, execute the /reload command - this is sufficient to activate it.

The super sponge's range is default set to 10 blocks. To change this parameter, use the following command in chat:

/scoreboard players set maximum fillsponge XX

Where XX is the desired radius in blocks. It's important to understand that increasing the radius significantly increases server load and may cause lag, especially with large values.

Configuring Removed Blocks

You can flexibly configure which block types your super sponge should remove. To do this, open the replace.json file located at SuperSponge_vXXX/data/fill_sponge/tags/blocks/replace.json and modify the block list in the values section.

Here are examples of preconfigured options:

• Water blocks (standard setting): removes water, kelp, seagrass, tall seagrass, and bubble columns
• Lava: designed to remove lava
• Underground materials: can remove dirt, grass blocks, stone, andesite, granite, and diorite
