TallGates

The TallGates mod was inspired by a concept proposed by Darkosto. This is a compact and simple addition that introduces tall gates for all standard wood types from the vanilla version of Minecraft.

These two-block-high structures perfectly blend with regular fences and walls. They are very easy to operate — just right-click on any of the two gate blocks or apply a redstone signal to open or close them.

All textures in the mod are taken from the original game, so TallGates is automatically compatible with any resource packs without requiring additional configuration.

Crafting the Gates

To craft tall gates, place two regular gates of the same type one above the other in the crafting grid.

Soartex Compatibility

If you are using the latest version of the Soartex resource pack, the tall gates functionality may already be integrated. It is recommended to check this before installing the mod.

For Soartex users, a special fix is available that makes the appearance of the gates identical to the style of this resource pack.

Usage in Modpacks

TallGates can be freely included in any modpacks without restrictions.
