Techemistry
Techemistry is a comprehensive technology mod for Minecraft version 1.14.4 and above, built on chemical principles. The development is inspired by well-known mods like NuclearCraft, Mekanism, and RotaryCraft, but offers its own unique implementation of chemical processes.
Important Information
The mod requires additional libraries:
- Chem Lib
- 'A Lib'
Please note that the mod is in active development and requires additional testing. Some features may work unstably.
Main Mechanisms and Devices
Heating System
Solid Fuel Heater - generates thermal energy required for the operation of most chemical installations. Currently, this is the only way to obtain significant amounts of heat.
Solar Heater - slowly accumulates heat during the day with direct access to sunlight. Maximum temperature reaches approximately 400K.
Chemical Processes
Calcination Chamber - processes compounds under limited oxygen access conditions. Used for producing coke from coal and converting sulfide minerals into oxide forms.
Smeltery - melts oxide compounds into ingots. Requires flux and coke for operation.
Electrolyzer - initiates complex chemical reactions that are difficult to start by other means, such as purification of alkali metals.
Reaction Chamber - designed for conducting general chemical reactions, including acid-base interactions.
Processing and Energy
Maceration Station - standard device for grinding materials. Operates using gears that wear out during use. Different gear materials have different characteristics.
Gas Collector - passively collects gases from blocks and creatures below it. Can extract oxygen from leaves or methane from cows.
Steam Boiler - heats water to produce steam that is supplied to a steam turbine.
Steam Turbine - converts steam energy into electricity (RF/FE).
Biochemical Processes
Fermenter - uses yeast to ferment various substances.
Distillery - purifies fermentation products, converting them into ethanol that can be used as fuel.
Each device requires a certain amount of heat to operate, creating an interconnected production chain.
