TexTweaks mod provides players with extended control over Minecraft's texture system, offering various tools for graphics customization and optimization.

Dynamic Texture Scaling

The feature allows changing texture sizes directly during gameplay using selected processing algorithms (linear interpolation or nearest neighbor method). This capability opens several useful application scenarios:

• Creating complete mipmap levels for all textures
• Reducing hardware requirements when using high-quality texture packs
• Experimenting with extremely low resolutions, down to 1x1 pixel

Enhanced Mipmapping System

The standard Minecraft version limits mipmap levels to four, which is sufficient for 16x16 textures but becomes problematic when working with high resolutions. Incomplete mipmaps lead to noticeable artifacts and jagged edges on distant objects.

TexTweaks solves this problem by automatically scaling all textures to a uniform size, allowing generation of additional mipmap levels directly in the game without the need for external graphic editors.

To check the function's operation, use the "Show Texture Info" key combination (unassigned by default) and check the mipmap level for the block.png atlas.

LOD Bias Adjustment

The LOD Bias parameter regulates the distance at which transitions between mipmap levels occur. This allows fine-tuning of texture sharpness and anti-aliasing levels, as well as creating unique visual effects.

Compatibility

The mod has been tested and is fully compatible with popular graphic mods, including OptiFine, Sodium, Iris, and Canvas Renderer. No conflicts have been detected to date.
