TFC Ore Washing

The mod presents a completely new ore processing system based on using a previously forgotten element from TFC - the Sluice. Now found ores require preliminary processing before smelting.

Five-Stage Ore Processing Technology

The process includes five sequential stages:

  • Ore crushing - obtaining crushed rocky ore
  • Primary rinsing using a sluice - preserving chunk ore
  • Ore milling using querns - obtaining dirty ore dust
  • Secondary rinsing of dirty ore dust - obtaining pure powder ore
  • Smelting pure powder ore to obtain liquid metal

Building sluices requires lumber. Additional loot has been added to each type of gravel - using the "gold pan" to pan gravel in a river or lake, you will get your first clean copper powder.

Be patient - this is a tedious and lengthy activity, but it will allow you to create your first metal castings. You already know the rest of the path - you need to craft a saw and pickaxe to obtain the first lumber, planks, and raw stone to build millstones needed for ore processing.

The scheme resembles what we remember from older versions of TFC 1.7.10

Compatibility and Integration

The mod is integrated with "FirmaLife" and "TFC IE Addon" (ores and smelting). Semi-automatic recipes have been added that work with "Create" and "Immersive Engineering" mods.

Direct smelting of raw ore is blocked - now it must be processed. Configuration has been added for smelting nuggets into liquid metals.

Balance and Settings

Configuration was created to match previous settings as closely as possible. In the entire production process, you can only gain from 7% to 25% additional material. The main goal of the mod is to make ore processing more attractive, not to multiply its quantity.
