Thaumcraft: Return of the ancients

Thaumcraft: Return of the ancients is an addon for the main Thaumcraft mod that revives the ancient world from previous versions of Thaumcraft in an updated form.

Mod Features

This addon is in active development, and all current elements will undergo reworking. All necessary information for gameplay is contained in the thaumonomicon. The mod's section opens after researching "Delving into the Eldritch", but you can enter the ancient world earlier if you find a portal.

Gameplay

The mod adds a procedurally generated labyrinth created based on old versions of Thaumcraft, with traps, bosses, and other challenges. In the ancient world, you can only use items from Thaumcraft and Baubles mods — this feature can be configured. The gameplay is quite challenging, and players will have to die multiple times, but after death, items are saved, and the character returns to the normal world (this function can also be disabled in settings). However, the labyrinth must be traversed again, as it regenerates with each attempt.

Technical Features

Server load is minimal. If desired, you can configure the minimum number of players required to start generation. Currently, only one level and bosses from Thaumcraft 6 are available, but future plans include adding several levels and reworking bosses.
