The Athenaeum (Fabric/NeoForge)

Immerse yourself in the world of literature with this modification! The Athenaeum brings a huge variety of specially written books and additional content to the game, adding special charm to exploring the game world.

A key feature is that this mod uses datapack principles, allowing you to easily customize and expand content according to your preferences. The main goal is to give players additional rewards for exploring various structures that go beyond ordinary loot.

Supported Minecraft versions

• 1.21.x: fully supported
• Versions before 1.21: support not planned

Current features

The system creates custom literary works, distributing them among treasures in stronghold libraries and woodland mansions. This adds extra value to exploring these locations.

Future plans

Developers are actively working on expanding functionality:

• Adding various new literary works
• Expanding book loot to other structures, including structures from other modifications
• Creating classification characteristics for works (for example, by genre)
• Introduction of special blocks and items
• Appearance of a new type of villager
• Cataloging of literary works
• Achievement system
• Additional settings for managing book creation processes

Origins and inspiration
