The Duality

This gameplay challenge requires you to stay underground (below Y:60) during nighttime and remain on the surface (above Y:50) during daylight hours. The area between these vertical coordinates always provides a safe haven where you can rest. To lift the ancient curse's effect, you must defeat two unique bosses - the Monarch of Light and the King of the Abyss. Although these powerful beings might seem familiar, don't underestimate them - they possess truly formidable strength.

Walkthrough Features (with Minor Spoilers)

Monarch of Light

To summon the Sun Sovereign, you'll need to create an Arrow of Light by surrounding a regular arrow with Sun Essence. This rare material drops from iron golems in quantities of two per defeated unit. During daytime, you must shoot the created arrow vertically upward, and the Sky Emperor will appear before you in all his glory.

King of the Abyss

To summon the Darkness Lord, you'll need to craft a unique diamond block that requires only four diamonds instead of nine. When you break this magical block, you'll obtain a Void Crystal. Toss this mysterious artifact onto bedrock - the world's primordial stone foundation - and the mighty King of the Abyss will answer your call.
