The Narrow Gate

The Bible reminds: "Enter through the narrow gate, because wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it" (Matthew 7:13).

How often have you had to dismount your horse just to pass through an open gate? The culprit is the horses' hitboxes, which in the original game are too large and simply won't fit through narrow openings. The The Narrow Gate mod solves this problem using techniques similar to those used in "Horse Tweaks" for passing through leaves. When the gate is open, a ridden horse can pass by the protruding fence sections that connect to it.

This feature works with all vanilla fences and gates from Minecraft. The mod even works with double-high gates (stacked on top of each other) and gates placed side by side (not just between fence blocks). Unfortunately, The Narrow Gate is not compatible with GoryMoon's Tall Gates mod.

Mod Support

In theory, the mod should work correctly with any fences and gates from other modifications if they inherit vanilla properties. However, if mod authors have implemented their own unique logic, support is not provided.

Important! The mod is required on both client and server. Please note that this applies to all situations where a player is riding any creature from the horse family. The author is not responsible for "splinched" steeds and fence elements ending up in unexpected places.
