Theou: Quest for Olympia
Immersion in the World of Ancient Greek Gods
This datapack, created specifically for DataPack Jam #2, opens the gates to Olympia - a mysterious dimension where the powerful deities of Ancient Greece reside. Embark on an exciting journey through unique biomes inspired by ancient mythology, complete tasks from the Olympic gods, and receive their blessings for faithful service.
Requirements: Minecraft version 1.19 and above. For full immersion, it is recommended to install the corresponding resource pack.
Beginning of the Journey
Your adventure begins with finding the Oracle - a mysterious creature emitting an enigmatic glow. These guides between worlds appear in various corners of the ordinary world.
To receive a task from the gods, bring the Oracle a sacrifice in the form of a diamond block by throwing it into the mystical pool. Upon receiving the scroll with the assignment, activate it with a right-click to accept the challenge.
Path to Olympia
Successful completion of a task is rewarded with the deity's favor. Collecting three such graces and sacrificing them to the Oracle will open a portal to Olympia. Be quick - the gates between worlds remain open for only a minute and a half!
Finding yourself in the skies of Olympia, carefully descend to the ground, where an incredible world for exploration awaits you. Will you be able to discover all five unique biomes of this divine dimension?
Divine Blessings
In Olympia, you will find majestic temples dedicated to various gods. Each sanctuary is adorned with colored concrete on the roof, indicating its patron.
By bringing a specific god's favor into the flames of their temple, you will receive a unique blessing. The names of the favors are colored according to the corresponding deity.
In addition to temples, Olympia offers numerous structures to explore and valuable treasures hidden in the most unexpected places.
When you decide to leave the divine world, simply step into the void - it's completely safe!

Sacrifices are made by throwing the required items one at a time into the Oracle's pool.
Blessings gradually weaken over time with use, however this process affects all blessings simultaneously. The effect recovers over time if abilities are not used. To activate a blessing, hold it in your main or off hand.
