Thread Control
Thread Control mod provides the ability to regulate the number of logical processors that Minecraft uses for its operation. This solution is borrowed from Mojang's official build 21w38a, where the limit was increased from 8 to 255 processors and became configurable via JVM arguments.
Who will benefit from this mod?
Server administrators - allows limiting thread load, which is especially relevant when running multiple game servers on one machine.
Owners of low-end PCs - reduces CPU resource consumption, preventing system "freezing" during gameplay.
Owners of powerful computers - ensures optimal resource distribution for systems with 8+ logical processors.
Operation features
The most noticeable effect from using the mod is visible during resource pack loading, data pack loading, and world generation. To configure parameters, use the file config/threadcontrol/ThreadControl.properties
.
Important note
DO NOT EXPECT PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT IF YOUR SYSTEM IS EQUIPPED WITH 8 OR FEWER LOGICAL PROCESSORS.
